Instructions for mixing and use of photoluminescent printing ink
Photoluminescent printing ink is a special kind of printing ink which is a mixture of photoluminescent pigment and transparent printing ink resin , in order to protect the crystal grid structure of the photoluminescent pigment during production, the photoluminescent pigment cannot be ground or rolling polish. In consideration of the dispersing effect of the photoluminescent powder in the printing ink, the photoluminescent printing ink should be better used as soon as it's mixed.
Confection:
Select transparent printing ink.
Selection of particle size of PL powder: in order to solve the dispersing and photoluminescent effect conflict ,300mesh or 400mesh powder should be the best choices. And the proper powder diameter should be determined according to different ink types ,different applications and the customers' demand for the luminance. Usually, the photoluminescent powder content ranges from 20%-50%(wt).
Adopt Ball-grinding, sand-grinding method in plastic or enamel-lined kiln or high-speed dispersion method to grind the luminous ink. Not grind it in metal vessels.
You can add little transparent paint to adjust the color, but the luminance standard will be decreased by certain degree.
Select transparent printing ink vary with the printed materials: for example, metal-printing ink for metal; PVC-printing ink for PVC.
The usage of PL printing ink:
The viscosity of printing ink is 3000-5000 poise. Adjust the viscosity with diluent in compliance with the speed of printing.
We can make the printing plate by selecting the screen under 200 mesh to get design with better luminous effect. Because the PL ink printed by this way is more thicker and as aresult, the brightness will be better. So the screen with 80-120 mesh will the best.
Brush one layer of white primer under the PL ink or print the ink on white materials can increase the luminance and afterglow time.
The thickness of PL ink on the materials Should be more than 150um.
Chromatically-printing method can be adopted.
Keep the whole sytem in dry conditions during the printing process.
Please stir it up evenly before use, store in dry and cool place, and keep the vessel airtight when not in use.

 
Safefound Photoluminescent paint mixing and use instructions
Photoluminescent paint consists of photoluminescent pigment, organic resin , organic solvent and assistant . To prevent the crystal structure of the photoluminscent materials are damaged during production, which may attenuate its photoluminescent performance, tumbling and some other processing means thus cannot be used .

Detailed directions for manufacture:
Select transparent neutral organic resin, such as acrylic resin, epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, PET resin, PVC resin, Poly vinyl-alcohol butyl aldehyde resin and ABS resin etc.
It would be better to utilize the photoluminescent powder right after its mixing in respect of its dispersing in the resin. Selection of particle size of paint powder: in order to solve the dispersing and photoluminescent effect conflict,300 mesh or 400 mesh powder should be the best choices. And the proper powder diameter should be determined according to different dyestuff types, different applications and the customers' demand for the luminance. Grind the photoluminescent pigment by high-speed-dispersion or ball-grinding method in enamel-lined facility, you'd better not grind it in metal facility to avoid polluting the pigment.
Select the resin with the viscosity of 2000-5000 poise or add viscosity-adjusting assistant to avoid the precipitation of photoluminescent pigment.
Cannot add the heavy metal compound as additive.
INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS:
You can use the PL paint by brushing, rolling, spraying, scratch painting and shower painting, any you like..
The thickness should be more than 200um in order to attain the perfect effect.
First brush/spray one layer of white paint in advance to fasten the brightness.
Finally use clear varnish on the surface to strengthen the smooth finish and weather-resistance nature.
You can dilute the PL paint according to the application method.

 
Photoluminescent Plastic Products
PL pigment can be used in different process such as injection molding, extrusion, pouring, calendaring, banbury and so on. You can get better result in this way: first, manufacture the plastic pellets, then manufacture products using the manufactured pellets.
Use the glabrous machine, reduce the friction, decrease damage to machine and lessen the contamination to PL pigment.
Use screw mavhine without filtering screen, because the size of PL pigment particle is big.
Injection products can mold in one time, keeping the PL pigment equally sticked on the surface of pellets.
In order to gain better effect, you can manufacture plastic products using plastic pellets.You can manufacture plastic plate, chip, tubes and threat by PL plastic pellets.
Suggestions:
It will do harm to the manufacture of PL plastic products, if the producing equipment is too coarse or the proceedings are too complex.
In the course of mixing the material, do not stir the mixture in the metal vessels in high speed, you should stir it in the lined vessel
To manufacture the plastic pellets by transparent resin such as PP, PS, AS, PC or PE. Sometime the resin can be opaque ABS.
During manufacting the plastic pellets, you mix the materials equally. Then put it into the extrusive machine to be processed under the normal temperature. When cooled down, cut it into pellets.
